One couldn't have put that any better than inspiration thats been placed on my shoulders for a damn long time….is something you just said out loud. Something we all know, yet we do fall in that trap “Why can't I be the next American Idol” (figure of speech) simple – “There's only twenty four hours in a day, make every minute last a life time….

Your right, he is an American Hustler in the finest sense of the word…

He, and Diddy, are fantastic examples of hardcore work ethic, creativity and sheer chutzpah. Now I may or may not like their music or style (some of it I do) I can't argue, nor not emulate, the determination behind it.

Some movies give me the motivation to follow dreams, Finding Forrester, Good Will Hunting, and 8 Mile, are some that I have in my collection that I would say might get me motivated to move forward toward my goals.

Lots of bands have come from nothing and many did things their own way and didn't change who they are even if the market wasn't right for what they were. You have to feel confident in what you are selling or you might as well not even try.

Nice article.
Funny thing about Jay, there were times in which he didn't know what he was doing, and he can laugh about it. In this clip below, he explains how at the beginning of Rocawear, he bought 3 sewing machines, and was planning to sew all the Tee shirts himself, or hire some girls to make them.
