One of the most powerful communications tools still remains the pen and paper. While technologies
such as blogs, video and photo sharing sites, and phones that can capture and post all of that content, have helped to create a 24/7, always-on communications and news cycle, it has only enhanced how powerful a simple pen and piece of paper can be. Now, you're probably starting to reach this post and think I'm insane. But, what I'm referring to is not writing memos, or publishing newspaper articles, capturing notes during a meeting or anything like that. I'm talking about the power that a simple hand-written note can wield. Notice, I did say hand-written.

One of the things that is most important to me is the meaningful relationships that I'm able to build through this blog,
Prime Cuts (my foodie blog) and the various networks that I'm active on. Making connections and being helpful to you is very important to me. Every day I strive to provide information that you'll find interesting. Sometimes it's interesting articles that I find as I scour the interwebs. Sometimes the posts are me sharing a piece of my personal life with you. Other times I want you to take the information I share and do something with it. Transform it and use it to benefit you, your company or someone else who may be interested.

Something that is very important to me is getting to meet people face-to-face. I love the relationships that I'm able to build using social media tools but nothing beats then taking it to real life face-to-face conversations. Today I wanted to share my thoughts on meeting people in person and why I want to meet you while at SXSW or any of the other conferences, meetups or other events I will be during 2009 (and beyond).
