I recently finished reading The Think Big Manifesto by Michael Port.  You might already know Michael from his previous book, The Contrarian Effect.  Check out my review below.  If you can’t see the video, you can grab it over on YouTube too.

Integration Marketing and Rules of Thumb -Video Book Reviews

Today I review two books which I read while away on my honeymoon in St. Maarten.  First up, Integration Marketing by Mark Joyner discusses ways to market your product or service by integrating it into other streams.  Second up to bat is Alan Webber’s Rules of Thumb which, in my opinion, is one of the best books of 2009.  I took tons of notes all throughout it and have been carrying it around with me so that I make sure I incorporate a lot of the ideas.

I hope you enjoy as much as I did…

A Video Review of the Griffin AirCurve for the iPhone

Shortly after the conclusion of SXSW, Dave Delaney (@davedelaney) of Griffin was nice enough to send me the AirCurve after I geeked out over it when I first saw it.  The AirCurve is an acoustic amplifier for the iPhone.  Using the iPhone’s built-in speaker along with the “wavecurve”, the AirCurve amplifies the sound to approximately 10 decibels.  It does this all without wires which is why I really geeked out when I saw it.  I have been using it a ton and loving every minute of it.  Check out my review of it and then make sure you grab a few of them, one for home, one for the office and give the other 5 you buy as gifts…

Social Media Cribs – Pirate Edition

A couple weeks ago Chris Brogan and I were in Santa Barbara to hang out with the good folks over at Citrix Online (client). When our good friend Graham Farrar heard we were coming to town, he was nice enough to hook us up big willie style with a ridiculous mansion. You see, among a ton of other stuff, Graham runs the ultra-cool Santa Barbara Luxury Vacation Rentals.  He set us up at the Vista Riviera which was amazing!  What would any content creator in their right mind do? Yeah, we filmed some video as you’d expect.

Welcome to Social Media Cribs – Pirate Edition…

If that wasn’t enough, Graham and Lisa Horner hooked us up, along with Brian Clark, by taking us to see Nine Inch Nails/Jane’s Addiction on the NIN/JA tour at the Santa Barbara Bowl.  If you’ve never been to the Bowl before, it has to be one of the most beautiful concert venues I’ve ever been too.

Here are a couple photos from the concert…

A big thanks to Graham and Lisa for showing us an excellent time while we were in town!
